VTC Launches New Flagship Campaign
On April 18th, VTC launched the new “Virginia is for … ” flagship campaign that challenges perceptions of Virginia as a vacation destination by featuring an abundance of experiences from outdoor beauty to family fun to the local food and culture that surrounds it.
Blue Ridge Outdoors Virginia Camping and Gear Giveaway
Blue Ridge Outdoors is proud to bring back the annual Blue Ridge Festival Guide, full of great info on events, music, and camping in the Blue Ridge. Capital Region USA (CRUSA) Global Travel Exchange
Capital Region USA's inaugural Global Travel Exchange will be an annual marketplace designed to connect the region's travel suppliers, overseas buyers, travel trade media, and receptive operators in face-to-face appointments, regional familiarization tours and engaging networking events. This Orientation is a must for tourism marketers, DMOs, managers/owners of Virginia tourism properties, and those who want to increase their visitation. There is no cost for Orientation.
VTC partners with Smith Travel Research (STR), a leading lodging industry research company, to provide weekly and monthly lodging data for the Commonwealth of Virginia. The report provides an analysis for the state, tourism regions, and various segments around the state defined by STR.
VTC’s public relations team continues its ongoing efforts to promote Virginia as a premier travel destination through placements in local, regional, and national media. In April, VTC’s earned media coverage resulted in more than 345 million impressions, with coverage in Men’s Journal, Signature Bride, Travel + Leisure and more. Registration is open for 2022 STS Marketing College® - June 5-10, 2022 – Macon, GA
Every year, Marketing College® students participate in a curriculum of courses designed to teach marketing techniques from all facets of the tourism industry. Upon completion of the three-year Marketing College curriculum, students receive a Travel Marketing Professional (TMP) certification. Learn more or register here.
Entrepreneur Express Program Returns
This free, three-hour Entrepreneur Express workshop, which was originally developed in 2010, offers education and resources for those who are either starting or expanding a business in the region. Topics covered include determining business viability, financing, marketing, technology, and more.
